I'm pretty happy with how the Commander's suit turned out in this page. I didn't actually have a torso with a suitable jacket design on in grey, so this is the result of a bit of digital trickery on my part.

So tomorrow is Bunnies and Chocolate Sunday, or as some people know it Easter Sumnday, and I couldn't resist doing a special comic for it.

This is the first, and possibly only, time you'll be seeing the Commander wearing the blue version of that jacket, because it was a complete and utter pain to get looking…

Comment Title: Rabbits! Planes! Extras!
Comment Body:

Of course I have a Fabuland bunny. What do you take me for?

Lego Fabuland was introduced in 1979 (apparently, I've not really done any real research here) which in Lego terms makes that bunny quite a bit older than the Commander.

Anyway, extras: Click here to see an early version of page one that I forgot to post…

Comment Title: Yeah, he should probably get that seen too.
Comment Body:

The Commander doesn't get a whole lot of luck, does he?

Anyway, this is another one of the first six, so there's an early version in the extras archive featuring a funky little custom minifig of mine. : )

There's also a new review over on the blog. It's a review of bricks, lots of bricks in a…

Comic Number: 4, Date: Thursday, 29 March 2012, 12:00 am
Comment Title: Quarters
Comment Body:

So we get our first look at where the Commander lives. Cosy, isn't it?

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the R2/vacuum cleaner joke has been made more times than anyone can count, but, well, I just can't help myself.

Comic Number: 3, Date: Monday, 26 March 2012, 12:00 am
Comment Title: Roar!
Comment Body:

It's a dinosaur.

What do you think of how the tie came out?
I kinda like it. :)

Anyway, in today's blog post is a review of a cheapy set featuring a clone of one of the Life on Mars aliens. Click here to have a look.

Comic Number: 2, Date: Thursday, 22 March 2012, 12:00 am
Comment Title: Say hello to the Ambassador.
Comment Body:

So here's our second recurring character, the Sanrio-Mega Bloks ambassador. She's going to be showing up quite often in the comic, because otherwise how could I justify all those Mega Bloks Hello Kitty sets I've been buying?

This is actually the first ever strip I did for the comic. Well, not this version. The original version looks kind of rubbish…

Comic Number: 1, Date: Monday, 19 March 2012, 12:00 am
Comment Title: And we're off!
Comment Body:

Woo!

Welcome to Commander Cottontail, a single panel, furry space comic made of bricks, mostly Lego bricks, but not only Lego bricks. There's also (cue dramatic music) Mega Bloks (which is what makes up most of that wall up there) and some other brands as well. Shocking, I know.

There's going to be one of these things every Monday and…
